The California Children’s Services (CCS) program provides diagnostic and treatment services, medical case management, and physical and occupational therapy services to children under the age of 21 with a CCS-eligible medical conditions. CCS may provide:
- Treatment
- Hospital Care
- Surgical Care
- Physical Therapy
- Occupational Therapy
- Testing
- Medical Equipment
CCS Eligibility Requirements:
A child or youth can receive CCS services if they meet these four requirements:
- Age 21 or under
- Reside in Mariposa County 3. Has a chronic, disabling, or life-threatening medical condition that is a CCS eligible medical condition
- Has one of the following:
- Family Income (AGI-Adjusted Gross Income) $40,000 or less
- Family income (AGI-Adjusted Gross Income) over $40,000 and out-of-pocket medical expenses are expected to be more than 20 percent of the family income (AGI-Adjusted Gross Income)
- A need for a diagnostic evaluation to find out if there is a health problem covered by CCS
- Was adopted with a known health problem that is covered by CCS
- A need for the Medical Therapy Program (children and youth can get Medical Therapy Program services no matter what their family income is) f. Medi-Cal, with full benefits (Full-Scope or Shared-Of-Cost)
How To receive CCS services
Referrals can be submitted by any agency involved with the child's care including physicians, hospitals, nurses, school districts, Regional Center, or the client or family directly.
