The Mariposa County Community Corrections Partnership plan is state mandated committee, that articulates a local response to the Public Safety Act of 2011, also known as AB 109. This reform transfers all responsibility for supervising specified lower-level inmates and parolees from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) to county agencies.
The CCP is chaired by the Chief Probation Officer and has a voting executive committee which consist of a Judge (appointed by the Presiding Judge); Chief Probation Officer; County Sheriff; District Attorney; Public Defender; and one Director from Social Services, County Mental Health, or County Drug and Alcohol as determined by the Board of Supervisors.
