Mariposa County Behavioral Health and Recovery Services is a division of Mariposa County Health & Human Services Agency. Our office is located at 5362 Lemee Lane, Mariposa, CA 95338.
A wide range of mental health services and substance use disorder services are provided for children, youth and adults.

- Psychiatric services (including medication management)

- Wellness Center

HOW TO MAKE A FIRST APPOINTMENT:
Assessment appointments may be requested in person at the Family Services Center located at 5362 Lemee Lane, Mariposa, CA 95338, or by calling 209-742-0802.
For referrals from our partner agencies, please use this form (PDF). Forms may be submitted in person at the address above, via mail at P.O. Box 99, Mariposa, California, 95338, or by fax at 209-742-0996.
HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?
We adjust your maximum yearly cost based on your monthly income.
DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?
We can accept some insurances. We will bill most insurance companies for you. The amount the insurance pays varies with the coverage. Most insurances pay only a portion of mental health fees. Insurance payments are applied to your account against your charges up to your yearly maximum cost.
DO YOU TAKE MEDI-CAL?
We accept Medi-Cal from Mariposa County.
Arrangements can be made in advance to transfer out-of-county Medi-Cal to Mariposa County.

Grievances, Appeals, State Hearing, & Patient Rights Advocate
If you have a problem with your Medi-Cal mental health services, we would like to help. You can file a Grievance, an Appeal, or a State Fair Hearing to help resolve your problem. If you have Medi-Cal benefits and you receive mental health services, you have the right to request an Appeal when your service provider conducts: 1) a reduction of services, 2) a denial of services, 3) a termination of services, or 4) does not make timely decisions.
Grievances and Appeals can be submitted by filling out a Grievance Appeal form(PDF) Forms can also be picked up in Mariposa at the Human Services Center or Quest Counseling, or at the North County HHSA Office in Coulterville. Completed forms can be dropped off at the Human Services Center or mailed to:
