Mariposa County Solid Waste AB 939 Local Task Force
Purpose: The purpose and functions of the Mariposa County Solid Waste AB 939 Local Task Force shall be as follows:
Review and comment on the planning documents regarding the five-year County Integrated Waste Management Plan (CIWMP) and to provide solid waste programs in accordance with CCR Title 14, Section 18788
To ensure a coordinated and cost-effective regional recycling system, the task force shall do all of the following:
Identify solid waste management issues of countywide or regional concern; Determine the need for solid waste collection and transfer systems, processing facilities, and marketing strategies that can serve more than one local jurisdiction within the region; Facilitate the development of multi-jurisdictional arrangements for the marketing of recyclable materials; To the extent possible, facilitate resolution of conflicts and inconsistencies between goals, policies, and procedures which are consistent with guidelines and regulations adopted by the board, to guide the development of the sitting element of the countywide integrated waste management plan.

Mariposa Town Cemetery Ad Hoc Committee
Purpose: The purpose and functions of the Mariposa Town Cemetery Ad Hoc Committee shall be as follows:
Conducting day-to-day operations of the Mariposa Town Cemetery, controlling interments therein pursuant to rules approved by the Board of Supervisors, preparation of proposed rules regarding operations/interments in the Mariposa Town Cemetery for Board approval, resolution of public grievances through the Community Services Director.

Merced River Trail Community Working Group
Purpose: The purpose and functions of the Merced River Trail Community Working Group shall be as follows:
Formulate, design, implement and participate in a public stakeholder engagement program to ensure appropriate participation by the development of the Merced River Trail Master Plan;
Provide technical expertise in topic areas germane to the Merced River Trail Master Plan, including but not limited to: the trail’s regulatory context; trail construction and maintenance; existing trail conditions; right of way acquisition; environmental conservation, including wildlife habitat and water quality issues; public health advocacy and promotion; cultural interpretation and conservation; community design and aesthetics; and trail programming;
Support the work of staff and consultants in the conduct of fact finding and data gathering necessary to (1) identify and negotiate significant coordinative and logistical hurdles in achieving the trail; (2) recommend projects, programs, and policies needed to efficiently implement the community’s vision for the trail; and (3) ultimately realize the recommendations contained in the Merced River Trail Master Plan;
Provide periodic assessment, evaluation of, and feedback to the Board of Supervisors regarding the success of the Merced River Trail Master Plan.

Midpines Planning Advisory Committee
Purpose: The purpose and functions of the Midpines Planning Advisory Committee shall be as follows:
To: (1) prepare and recommend a Community Plan to the Mariposa County Planning Commission; (2) prepare and recommend applicable implementation regulations for the Plan – such as zoning and design review – to be adopted by the Board of Supervisors; and (3) make recommendations to the Planning Commission and other bodies on planning-related projects and other matters as directed by the Board of Supervisors.

Parks and Recreation Commission

Planning Commission
Purpose: The purpose and functions of the Planning Commission shall be as follows:

Safety Committee
Purpose: The purpose and functions of the Safety Committee shall be as follows:
To provide a safer workplace for County employees, reduce accidents and injuries through a concerted and educated effort, and to maintain County compliance with all applicable State and Federal safety laws, (Senate Bill 198, Labor Code Section 6401.7, which requires that every employer establish, implement, and maintain an effective Injury Prevention Program.

Water Agency Advisory Board

Recommends to Water Agency Board of Directors the terms of any loan to be considered; investigates any grant and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors of the Water Agency with respect to the MID Water Funds and FERC relicensing process and surface and ground water issues.

Yosemite West Planning Advisory Committee
Purpose: The purpose and functions of the Yosemite West Planning Advisory Committee shall be as follows:
To: (1) prepare and recommend a Special Plan addressing issues of transient occupancy, development of undeveloped lots, accessory dwellings, bed and breakfast inns, and other issues related to the site development and build-out of the subdivision; (2) prepare and recommend applicable implementation regulations – such as zoning, design review, and other site development standards – for the Special Plan to be adopted by the Board of Supervisors; (3) make recommendations to the Planning Commission and other bodies on planning-related projects and other matters as directed by the Board of Supervisors; and (4) after conclusion of Special Plan process, recommend to the Board of Supervisors land development and regulatory standards for undeveloped and un-subdivided property within the boundary of the Yosemite West Special Planning Area.
