Air Pollution Control District

The Mariposa County Air Pollution Control District is committed to achieving clean air to protect the public's health and the environment.

Functions:

• Educate the community about health issues regarding air pollution.
• Inspect to make sure health and safety standards are being met at regulated facilities.
• Review plans to construct or install equipment that could emit air pollution to ensure the necessary controls are being used.
• Initiate and monitor corrective actions to ensure health and safety at regulated facilities.
