C.U.P.A.

Mariposa County Health Department, Environmental Health Services, is certified by Cal-EPA as the Certified Unified Program Agency (CUPA) that administers specific hazardous materials/hazardous waste programs.

Functions:

  • Educate the community.

  • Inspect facilities that use hazardous materials.

  • Investigate complaints from the public.

  • Review construction plans.

  • Initiate and monitor corrective actions to ensure health and safety at regulated facilities.
