Wells and Septic Systems
Registered Environmental Health Specialists assist in protecting the health and safety of the community by ensuring well and septic health standards are being met.
Functions:

Educate people to prevent health and safety problems regarding wells and septic systems, and to act as a resource to treat existing health and safety issues.

Inspect newly installed wells and septic systems to ensure proper health and safety standards are met.

Investigate failing wells and septic systems. Environmental Health Specialist staff assist individuals by discussing what available resources for proposed plans are in the community.

Review proposed plans to construct, install or adjust existing wells and septic systems to meet health and safety standards.

Initiate and monitor corrective actions to ensure health and safety at regulated facilities.
