Once your application for a Vacation Rental has been received from the Planning Department, The Health Department will require the following documents in order to process your application promptly:
The septic tank must have been pumped (if necessary) and inspected within the last three years. An inspection or “Pumper’s Report” certifying the tank and results of the flow test on the leachfield is required by a Certified Septic Pumper. Please note the approved occupancy number will be based on what your septic system is sized for. New septic systems installed within the last three years are exempt from testing requirements, as are Homes that are on Public Sewer Systems.
Water analysis is required for the drinking water at this facility. Bacteriological and Nitrate tests are required as listed on the Water Quality Monitoring Schedule. Please note the Bacteriological test must be no more than 90 days old and the Nitrate test must be no more than 1 year old at the time we review them Here is a partial list of Certified Water Testing Laboratories. Homes that are on Public Water systems are exempt.
