The Mariposa County Fire Department provides fire protection throughout most of the County and is responsible for the County's Office of Emergency Services.

The mission of Mariposa County Fire Department is:
The preservation of human life, the protection of real and personal property, to provide basic life support, advanced First Aid, and patient care in emergency medical situations, to respond to calls for public service, to provide assistance in time of need.
