County Overview

All new employees are invited to a two-hour interactive New Employee Orientation. At this time, participants will meet the County Administrative Officer and learn more about the broader County mission. You will also gain a greater understanding of your role, responsibilities, and opportunities in public service. Additionally, participants will have time to ask specific questions about employee benefits and pay.

To help you prepare for the program, please review the Mariposa County Overview and Public Service Policy prior to attending. We will offer fun and exciting prizes to participants who want to answer questions about the policy and overview. 

The New Employee Orientation is held at the County Board Chambers on a quarterly basis. Invitations to new employees and their department heads are sent out approximately 30 days in advance of the program.
