Mandatory One-Year Moratorium on Insurance Cancellations/Non-Renewals

Due to the Oak Fire and subsequent declaration of a state of emergency, SB 824 requires a mandatory one-year moratorium on insurance companies canceling or non-renewing residential insurance policies in specified areas.

Mariposa County Zip Codes included in the moratorium include:

  • 95306 (Catheys Valley)
  • 95311 (Coulterville)
  • 95318 (El Portal)
  • 95325 (Hornitos)
  • 95338 (Mariposa)
  • 95345 (Midpines)
  • 95389 (Yosemite National Park)

Madera County Zip Codes included in the moratorium include:

  • 93601 (Ahwahnee)
  • 93653 (Raymond)

Merced County Zip Codes included in the moratorium include:
