The senior program is funded through the Older Americans Act, Area 12 Agency on Aging. Matching funds are provided by Mariposa County, the United States Department of Agriculture, participants, and organization donations.

Each meal provides one third of the Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) served daily to seniors 60 years of age and over, and their spouse of any age.

Congregate meals are served Monday through Friday (excluding holidays), at midday in a social environment at the Mariposa Senior Activity Center.

Hot meals are delivered to "homebound" seniors due to illness, disability or otherwise isolated in the town area. Frozen meal service is available to those homebound seniors wishing to receive them on weekends, holidays etc..
