Transportation
Mariposa County Transportation is administered by the Mariposa Health and Human Services Agency. Transportation services available are MARI-GO transit and MEDI-TRANS non-emergency medical transport. Operation hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., except County Holidays. Riders must call in advance to schedule rides at 209-966-5315 or email us at transit@mariposacounty.org.
All transportation services are contingent on driver availability, weather conditions, and subject to cancellation at any time. Appointments are available to riders on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please allow for travel time when arranging medical appointments and note that rides may be shared.
ADA compliant vehicles are available.
Partial funding provided by Area 12 Agency on Aging: fares are suggested contributions for eligible Title III-B Transportation Participants- individuals aged 60 and older. No eligible senior will be turned away for their inability to pay.
MARI-GO
A General Public, curb-to-curb transit service with designated route areas for Mariposa and Sonora.
Transit services may be available for County-sponsored events and other community activities, such as the Mariposa County Fair, the Butterfly Festival, etc. However, arrangements must be made well in advance.

- Monday - Highway 49 North, Bear Valley, Hornitos, Catheys Valley Areas
- Monday- Sonora shopping for North County residents
- Tuesday & Thursday - In town and 3 mile Radius
- Wednesday - Highway 49 South, Ponderosa Basin, Lush Meadows Areas
- Friday - Highway 140 East, Midpines and surrounding areas
MARI-GO Fares
- Fares in Town (2 Mile Radius): $2 One Way
- Fares 2 to 12 miles: $3 One Way
- Fares over 12 miles: $4 One Way
- Additional fare for multiple stops
MEDI-TRANS
The Medi-Trans program is a curb-to-curb non-emergency medical transportation service for scheduled appointments to Mariposa and surrounding Counties. There are no additional fees for those individuals that require a caregiver/attendant. An attendant may be required for some in office procedures.
